What to wear and bring when doing SUP

Customers who do not rent wetsuits

Clothes you don't mind getting wet

1.T-shirt
2.Jacket (windbreaker)
3.Surf shorts, shorts, leggings, etc.

*We recommend a quick-drying material like polyester. *You can wear a swimsuit underneath. It's fine even if you don't wear a swimsuit.

Wetsuit rental customers

Wear a swimsuit or a thin short-sleeved top and shorts under your wetsuit

*If you don't have any of these, underwear is fine. *Wetsuits are sleeveless and have long pants.

There are many windy days around Lake Chuzenji, and depending on the weather, even in summer it can get cold if you get wet, so it's a good idea to bring a thin windbreaker instead of just a T-shirt to help regulate your body temperature.
Rash guards are not recommended for SUP at Lake Chuzenji because they do not provide heat retention and will lower your body temperature if wet.

Footwear for SUP

There are many rough stones and rocks on the lakeside and shore, so we recommend shoes with sturdy soles.

*No flip-flops or Crocs-type sandals.
* They are easy to slip off and can be very slippery on the SUP board.

What to bring

・Bath towel

It's a good idea to have one if you're going to get completely soaked while playing.

・Band to prevent glasses from falling off

If you fall into the water, your glasses or sunglasses may come off and sink. It is impossible to dive very deep, so if you wear glasses or sunglasses, be sure to bring a band.

Drinks and sunscreen

You will be sweating and exposed to a lot of sunlight, so you may become dehydrated without realizing it. Please bring along drinks and sunscreen to stay hydrated.

About meals

Unless you have an individually set plan, meals are generally not included, so please prepare and eat your own. You can also order a takeaway lunch box ( https://www.supsup.jp/lunchbox ). When the tour ends at lunchtime, we will recommend a place to have lunch if you wish, so please feel free to ask our staff.

Health status

​If you exercise without enough sleep or on an empty stomach, you are more likely to develop anemia, so please be sure to take care of yourself.
