From around October, Nikko enters the autumn foliage season and temperatures begin to drop. Because wetsuits and thermal socks become required for warmth, the price changes during this season.

There is an additional ¥1,000 charge for solo participants.

Children on the child rate will ride on the same SUP board as their parent or guardian. Up to one preschool child may ride together on the same board.

If a child outside the listed age range would like to paddle alone, or if a younger child would like to join, participation may be possible depending on the day’s booking situation. Please feel free to contact us.

On weekends and public holidays during the busy season from July to mid-September, an additional ¥500 per person applies.

Reception and the tour start take place on either the left or right side of the lakeshore near Lake Chuzenji Boathouse, depending on crowd conditions. Please come to the boathouse area first and complete check-in there.

Meeting Point
Tour Flow
Step 1 | Meet and change
Please gather at the meeting point near Lake Chuzenji Boathouse and change into clothes suitable for SUP. You are also welcome to arrive already changed. Wetsuits will be distributed at the meeting point.
Changing rooms at Lake Chuzenji Boathouse are available. Please follow the instructions of the boathouse staff when using them.
Step 2 | Start the lesson
Once everyone is ready, we will explain how to use the equipment, key safety points, how to paddle, and what to do if you fall into the water. First, you’ll start from a seated position and paddle around the area near the starting point.
Step 3 | Try the next step
Once you feel comfortable, you’ll come back to shore for guidance on how to stand up. Then you’ll try standing on the board and experience the balance and core strength that make SUP unique.

Participation Requirements
Group size: Minimum 1 person / Maximum 20 people
Depending on the booking situation, larger groups may also be accommodated with advance notice. Please contact us by email or phone.
Experience level: Even complete beginners and those who are not strong swimmers are welcome to join.
