・The course starts from Utagahama Parking Lot and heads towards the former embassy villa.

・A guide will show you Lake Chuzenji in winter, as well as its history and attractions.

- View Lake Chuzenji in winter through binoculars.

- Relax with a warm drink and snacks while sitting in a chair along the way.

・Warm clothing: Thick down jackets, coats, ski wear, etc. (Waterproof is best)

・Gloves ・Scarf ・Hat (covers the ears)

・Comfortable walking shoes (shoes that are comfortable and water-resistant, snow boots are acceptable, but high-tops are more comfortable)

・Warm socks

Sunglasses and sunscreen (when there is snow and sunlight)

*Gaiters (leg covers) may be required depending on snow conditions.

Snowshoes are available for free rental.

About temperature

In winter, Lake Chuzenji is about 10°C cooler than Tokyo, and the wind can make the temperature feel below zero on the lakeside.
Therefore, please prepare proper cold weather protection such as down jackets, warm innerwear, gloves, and hats.
Even on sunny days, it can get cold suddenly, so please enjoy your hike while adjusting your temperature by wearing layers.
